Commercial Farm Opportunities

harvesting 200

Our commercial farming crop focus will be on the major food crops such as corn, wheat, soya beans, fruit, tea and aquaculture.

These crops will be complemented by other cash crops for diversification.

We have identified three keys to commercial farming success:

· Target Prime Farmlands only

· Instal top management teams

· Modern equipment to raise productivity

Profits will be maximized through a number of different strategies:

Irrigation· Irrigation: Irrigation ensures delivery of a crop even in drought conditions. Over and above the water security, a reliable water source ensures that the farm is able to plant early, and therefore increase crop yields, and, more importantly grow a winter crop, typically wheat. The ability to grow a second crop in winter is an important competitive advantage of farming in Africa as this is not possible in most grain produce areas globally.

· Mechanisation: Mechanisation brings numerous scale and cost efficiencies

. Processing of outputs to enhance profits.

· Marketing: The timing and logistics of farming is a critical element to delivering profitability.

Farming is operationally geared so any rises in agricultural commodity prices should lead to proportionately higher increases in profits.
